Last week I went to Shimon HaTzaddik.

Just for 20 minutes, before I headed off to the evening prayers of the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland, that happen 8:30pm every night, outside on Ido HaNavi Street.

I got in, sat down – and immediately heard a booming voice coming from the men’s section, telling everyone:

Halacha!! When a person prays for Am Yisrael, all his own sins are forgiven!

OK, I took that as a hint.

And I prayed a bit for Am Yisrael.

====

A couple of minutes later, the booming voice was back.

Halacha!! I personally heard from Rav Steinman himself that when someone becomes arrogant from learning Torah, all their Torah learning immediately goes straight to the dark side!!

Interesting.

====

Over Shabbat, I was pondering about why all this Frankist-Reform-funded ‘ortho fem’ stuff is just so poisonous.

And then I remembered that guy from Shimon HaTzaddik, and it struck me that the ‘Torah’ that is being taught by these ortho-fem institutions is all about making the person who learns it believe in their own superiority to others.

I.e., it’s all about the intellect and the ego.

It’s about handing out ‘source sheets for your shiur’ with a billion entries on them, to show how clever and learned you are.

It’s about spending a whole hour telling people about what YOU THINK is written in the Gemara, instead of breaking your head trying to understand WHAT OUR SAGES THINK.

It’s about showing ‘the men’ that you are just as good as they are!!!

(I.e. you can also bore people to death with your pointless shiurim about halachic minutiae that basically, you are in absolutely no position to have a real opinion on, because your middot suck, you’re totally arrogant, and you have no siyatta di shmeya because your Torah learning doesn’t have even a milligram of ‘lishma’ about it…..)

====

This is the ‘Torah’ of the Jewish demon Torah Scholars.

(BTW, apparently it’s not only Rabbenu, Rebbe Nachman, who wrote about them. Also the BESHT’s leading disciple, R Yaakov Yosef of Polnnoye, and the Zohar, and also the Tanya of the Alter Rebbe also speak of them. See HERE for more details.

You can find a discussion about these Jewish demon Torah Scholars in Likutey Moharan, Part 1:12)

This is the ‘Torah’ that Rebbe Nachman explains even ‘wears out God’ – i.e. it turns everything into an ego-fuelled, pointless, philosophical discussion, that misses the whole point of learning Torah, which is to work on our own bad middot  – especially our arrogance – and to learn more emuna.

====

In the old days, when women weren’t so ‘learned’, the Sages spoke a lot about the simple emuna of women.

And how it could move mountains.

While the men were off with their thumbs, pilpulling away in pointless ‘splitting hairs’ fashion, the women would pull out a Sefer Tehillim, or put their hands on their mezuzah, and just pour their hearts out to God.

And their prayers moved mountains.

====

The Reform-Frankists who are funding all these ‘ortho fem’ movements and institutions know the true power of a woman’s simple emuna.

That’s why they are going full out to try and replace that simple emuna, our simple, heartfelt, soul-deep connection to God with ‘precious Torah-based rubbish’ instead.

Before I got to Breslov, I used to try with all my might to ‘enjoy’ Torah classes at Matan, and from other ‘ortho fem’ sources that so many of the people I hung out with were raving about.

It was nearly always a struggle to stay awake – at best.

Other times, I’d find the discussion so pointless, so dry, so spiritually ‘dead’ and uninspiring, talking for talk’s own sake – that I’d usually make a break for the toilet, and try to stay there as long as possible.

This is the power of the shiurim of the Jewish Demon Torah Scholars.

They fill your head with ‘information’, but empty out your soul.

====

That’s why when I hit the simple emuna of Breslov teachings, they totally blew me away.

Listen to this, and you’ll see what I mean:

====

The first time I heard this, I sat transfixed in my car for a good 10 minutes, because all of a sudden my soul woke up.

Not more boring pilpul, not more boring ‘speeches’ with a million sources discussing something that felt totally irrelevant to my real life and real issues.

But someone talking about how Hashem wants a real, direct relationship with every single one of us; and how everything that’s happening around us, and to us, is part of that direct conversation the Creator is trying to have with us.

All of a sudden, the mitzvot stopped feeling like such a burden, such a bore – however important and necessary – and my soul woke up.

====

The difference between the ‘Torah’ of these Jewish Demon Torah Scholars, and the ‘Torah’ of Breslov is literally night and day.

The first boosts the ego, and destroys the soul.

The latter uncovers the true power of the soul – and takes down the ego.

====

I’m not against women learning lishma – for it’s own sake.

I think it’s beautiful, when we women steal a few precious moments from the demands of working, looking after our families, running our homes, to learn a few pages of Tanach, or to read some Rambam, or to learn some Likutey Moharan.

But lishma – for its own sake – means you aren’t getting a ‘degree’ at the end of your learning.

You aren’t getting a diploma, or title.

You aren’t getting an ‘ortho-fem’ platform, or a position in an institution, to start boring everyone else to death with your fab-u-lous insights into the Torah that have absolutely nothing to do with working on overcoming bad middot, getting to know God, or developing some real emuna.

====

So, now I know why all these ‘ortho-fems’ are bothering me so very much, Freemason-Frankist funding of their institutions notwithstanding.

They may or may not be very nice people personally.

But when you learn Torah for any other reason than lishma, it becomes a sam hamavet – an arrogant potion of death – and not an emuna-dik potion of life.

And that’s why Rabbenu explains about the people who learn and teach Torah like this: (LM 1:12)

“a carcass is better than this person.”

Off the back of the last post, I thought I’d take a closer look at the Pardes Institute.

***UPDATES***

First, you can see the previous post here:

Modern Orthodox or ‘Frum-Reform’?

Then, this is part of the exchange I started to have with one of the commentators off the bottom of that post, where I got told:

Neither Y. Smith nor Pardes identify as Orthodox. The Independent (UK paper) referred to Smith as “ex-Orthodox” and Smith’s own definition of “Authentic Jewish Learning” has nothing about committment to tradition or halacha, the שלשה עשר עיקרים or even God for that matter.

If you read Pardes’ mission statement, you won’t find anything Orthodox there.

Neither Pardes nor Smith make any pretense of identifying as Orthodox- whether modern or “open”.

====

I went back to say this:

It’s interesting when this ‘ex-orthodoxy’ occurred.

This comes from Pardes history page:

“The institute, which he gave the name Pardes—suggestive of the mystery, multifacetedness, and fruitfulness of Torah—opened its doors in the fall of 1972 with a student body of 25.

Among the original teachers were Adin Steinsaltz, David Hartman, and Eliezer Schweid, with teaching assistants who included Menahem Froman and Dov Berkovits. (Click here for a full description of the original faculty). Swirsky directed the Institute in 1972 and 1973 and Berkovits from then until 1977 (See video below). Rabbi Levi Lauer directed Pardes from 1977 to 1994 and Rabbi Danny Landes assumed the position in 1995.

==

Last I heard, Adin Steinsaltz was ‘orthodox’.

Here’s a snippet about David Hartmann, another founding faculty member from Wikipedia:

“David Hartman…attended Yeshiva Chaim Berlin and the Lubavitch Yeshiva, after which he spent time learning in Lakewood Yeshiva. In 1953, having studied under Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik, he received his rabbinical ordination from Yeshiva University in New York.”

Sounds pretty ‘orthodox’ to me..

Here’s the Wiki snippet on Menachem Froman:

“Rabbi Menachem Froman was an Israeli Orthodox rabbi, and a peacemaker and negotiator with close ties to Palestinian religious leaders. A founding member of Gush Emunim, he served as the chief rabbi of Tekoa in the West Bank.”

==

My commentator came back with this:

Some of the faculty [of Pardes] may be Orthodox, but the institution isn’t.

I find it a bit of a strain to consider Hartman in the years after Lakewood & YU, Orthodox.

Hartman is on the record that he was willing to marry a כהן to a גיורת. The flexibility he sought in halacha went beyond finding leniencies that are already part of legitimate halachic process. We’re not talking about a mistaken approach to halacha in which leniencies are applied inappropriately. We’re talking about discarding halacha on philosophic grounds, not on mistaken halachic grounds.

Off the record, I’ve heard that Hartman told a couple that they could ignore a certain הלכה (which modesty prevents me from specifying) based on their “feelings”.

So no, Hartman wasn’t Orthodox.

====

Before we dive back in to who and what is really funding Pardes – and other institutions pushing the same sort of ‘ortho-fem’ / LGBT123-whatever agenda in the orthodox world – let’s try to unpick exactly what is going on here, as encapsulated by this email exchange.

Practically speaking, tachlis, OF COURSE people like David Hartmann aren’t ‘orthodox’.

Practically speaking, they are FRUM-REFORM.

That is how these people – and their institutions – continue to insinuate all their Reform / Conservative tumah into the orthodox world, by pretending like ‘orthodox people who really fear God also think like this’.

When clearly, they don’t.

====

A huge, blinking, red flag about who is really God-fearing in all this (aside from the obvious stuff, like not pushing radical ‘trans’ agendas and faculty members and writers, and ‘ortho-fem rabbas’ down their communities’ throats) is the interfaith stuff.

I’m in the process of unpicking just how ‘pagan’ xtianity really and truly is, but let’s be clear that any ‘orthodox rabbi’ who is happily peddling all the interfaith stuff is FRUM-REFORM, however ‘orthodox’ they may externally pretend to be.

We’ll probably return to this topic in another post, but for now, let’s get back to PARDES, because after the exchange above, I went to find out more about it’s original faculty, and how people like me could have got the idea that the institution is connected to orthodox Judaism.

====

On the History page of PARDES HERE, they actually link to a full description of the people who made up the original faculty, back in 1972.

Here are some screenshots:

As I scrolled through the list, I was struck by just how many of these original ‘Pardes’ people either had semicha from Yeshiva University, or had learned there, and again the explicit links with the Soloveitchik family.

I was also struck by the links to the Mercaz HaRav yeshiva and Bnei Akiva movements that propound the philosophy of Rav Kook, the revered founder of the ‘Dati Leumi’ school of thought in the State of Israel.

And then, there was the connection to Lubavitch, too, in a couple of places, but not least, in the person of R’ Adin Steinsaltz.

Nearly all of the faculty were ‘orthodox rabbis’ with semicha from orthodox yeshivas – and this was back in 1972, when not so many people had semicha, still.

====

You can read more about Adin Steinsaltz on Wikipedia, HERE.

What struck me – apart from the passage that I’ll bring below – was just how many honors and rewards Steinsaltz recieved from the State of Israel for his work.

That is always, ALWAYS, another huge red flag that something is not quite right here, because Sabbatean-Frankists who hate the Torah typically don’t go out of their way to honor and financially reward genuinely God-fearing orthodox rabbis.

That’s just the way it is.

Snippet:

Publication of the Steinsaltz Hebrew translation of the Talmud in the 1960s received endorsements from prominent rabbis including Moshe Feinstein and Ovadia Yosef.

However, in 1989, when the English version appeared, Steinsaltz faced a fierce backlash from many leading rabbis in Israel such as Elazar ShachYosef Shalom EliashivEliezer WaldenbergNissim KarelitzChaim Pinchas Scheinberg and Shmuel Wosner who harshly condemned his work and other publications.

Branding him a heretic, Shach was at the forefront of a campaign which banned all his works, believing that his literary and psychological explanations of biblical characters and events rendered them heretical. He also slated his translation of the Talmud, describing it as being written in the style of a secular book causing “any trace of holiness and faith to vanish.”

Waldenberg wrote that he was shocked to see the way in which Steinsaltz described the Patriarchs and Talmudic sages, writing that the works had the power to “poison the souls” of those who read them….

For his part, Steinsaltz countered that much of the criticism he faced was rooted in opposition to the Chabad-Lubavitch community he was affiliated with.

====

So, we have to ask the hard question:

Were the people involved with PARDES ‘FRUM REFORM’ right from the start, and part of a wider agenda to ‘poison orthodox Judaism’ the same way Moses Mendelsson operated to poison the Jewish community 250 years earlier?

Or did the organisation genuinely start of ‘orthodox’, and then slide ever more into the abyss of ‘FRUM REFORM’-ness?

Let’s see if we can figure this out, a little more.

====

Back on the PARDES website, I started poking around a little more, to see if there was any more info on when PARDES went full-throttle into ‘FRUM-REFORM’ mode.

I got to HERE, where I learnt this about it’s current president,

Rabbi Leon Morris is the President of Pardes….

Ordained from Hebrew Union College in 1997 where he was a Wexner Graduate Fellow, he has worked extensively with the Jewish community of India, beginning in 1990 when he served as a Jewish Service Corps volunteer for the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee.

====

Ah, Les Wexner, Jeffrey Epstein’s best friend, and funder of kollels at Yeshiva University.

How could we forget about him?

On another page HERE, I discovered that the Chair of the PARDES board in Israel, Morlie Levin, is also linked to Wexner, snippet:

Morlie was the CEO of NEXT, the alumni division of the Birthright Israel Foundation, and before that served as the National Executive Director of Hadassah…..She was a Wexner Heritage Fellow, a founding Board member of the Jewish People Policy Institute, and a former member of the boards of the Jewish Women’s Archive and the Jewish New Teacher Project.

====

In case you think that link to Wexner is an accident, I went to the PARDES fundraising page HERE, and learned this, about the organisation:

====

512 ‘ordained rabbis across denominations’ – presumably including orthodox! EEK!!!

More than 400 teachers and heads of Jewish day schools – presumably including some orthodox ones?!?!? EEK!

And take a look at the red box, where we learn that no less than 151 people associated with PARDES are ‘Wexner Graduate Fellows’, and a further 180 are ‘Dorot Fellows’.

====

I didn’t know what a ‘Dorot Fellow’ was, so I found their website HERE, and then found what I was really after on the ‘influencewatch.org’ website HERE.

Snippet:

DOROT FELLOWSHIP

The Dorot Foundation’s highest-profile program is its Dorot Fellowship Initiative.

The program funds 12 annual fellowships for American Jews to live and study in Israel. It is operated in conjunction with the left-wing New Israel Fund, but claims it accepts fellows from a wide range of political beliefs.

====

Here’s some other ‘Dorot Fellows’ you might have heard of:

  • Jodi KantorNew York Times editor, correspondent on the 2008 Obama campaign, and author of The Obamas. Kantor shared a Pulitzer Prize in 2018 for her story with Megan Twohey that reported sexual harassment and abuse allegations against producer Harvey Weinstein, which is credited with helping launch the “#MeToo” movement.
  • Eric J. Stern: Former co-chair of Obama Pride and National LGBT Leadership Council for Obama 2008 campaign and former director of LGBT Outreach for the Democratic National Committee.
  • Bari Weiss, former opinion page staff editor and writer at the New York Times.

====

Here’s another snippet about the Dorot Foundation, that you may find interesting:

Left-of-Center Jewish Grantmaking

ISRAEL

The Dorot Foundation actively supports left-wing organizations involved in Israeli politics and policy. It largely supports groups espousing a “two-state” solution, and it does not support groups active in the “Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions” movement. Its grant recipients include:

====

These are the people helping to fund and shape places like PARDES, with is 400+ teachers and headteachers in Jewish day schools, and it’s 512 ‘rabbis’, across all denominations.

And now, they are trying to raise $36 million to build a new, massive campus in Talpiot, to infiltrate even more of their tumah into the Jewish world, and brainwash even more ‘educators’ – and our children – with their anti-Torah, destructive, immoral values.

And all the while banging the drum about what a great beit hamidrash they’ve got, and what amazing ‘Torah learning’ is going on there.

Sigh.

====

Seriously, no-one without an agenda is going to be funding places like PARDES.

And I wonder if all those ‘orthodox Jews’ who work for PARDES, and who learn at PARDES actually even know about PARDES tight links with Reform-pushing anti-Torah organisations like Dorot and the Wexner Foundation?

Because if they did, surely they’d leave in their droves….?

====

Let’s just finish up by taking a look at another ‘orthodox’ institution in Jerusalem that is pushing ortho-fem poisonous ideas, big-time.

I am talking about MATAN.

Once I realised that all these places, all these people, are connected behind the scenes, in myriad ways, I decided to take another look at MATAN.

First, here’s a snippet from their ABOUT page HERE:

Matan has been at the cutting edge of Torah learning for women since it was established in 1988….

Matan is changing the conversation in Israel about women and Judaism.  We are empowering our students with the knowledge, tools and the self-confidence to become teachers, spiritual guides, leaders, role models and change agents in Jewish communities throughout Israel.

Matan has an open and nuanced approach to Torah studies.

====

All the same weasel words we’ve sadly got so used to seeing.

So, who gave MATAN it’s biggest financial push?

None other than IRA RENNERT – the guy I wrote a whole long megillah around on the old blog, about how he was funding YESHIVA UNIVERSITY and the NETIV ARYEH yeshiva in the Old City, which has a lot of weird links to a lot of influential people.

Here’s the screenshot from MATAN:

====

In case you didn’t know, junk bond king Ira Rennert was one of ‘Milken’s Monsters’, and even today, he is still embroiled in a whole bunch of stuff that frankly stinks.

Here’s a snippet from his Wikipedia page – and then let’s circle back around, to see how this all connects to the ‘ortho-fems’ and MATAN.

Rennert is married to Ingeborg Hanna Rennert, a former airline ticket agent who is a convert to Judaism. She serves as the Director of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Inc….

Rennert and his wife Ingeborg have made many charitable donations to various organizations.

They donated $5 million to establish the Wiesel Center at Boston University and $250,000 to the Lincoln Center. They also gave over $1 million to the World Trade Center Memorial and established the Rennert Entrepreneurial Institute of Sy Syms School of Business at Yeshiva University

 They also established the Ira Leon Rennert Professor of Entrepreneurial Finance at New York University and founded the Ingeborg Rennert Center for Jerusalem Studies at Bar-Ilan University.

==

The Rennerts also helped to fund the construction of The Western Wall Heritage Foundation in Jerusalem (the visitor’s center is called The Ingeborg and Ira Leon Rennert Hall of Light).

Rennert’s wife and children are named as the donors of The Jonas Mendel (Yonah Menachem Ben Mendel) Rennert Memorial Chapel at the Center for Jewish History. The Rennerts are known to have donated to Rabbi Aharon Bina‘s new yeshiva in Israel, Yeshivat Netiv Aryeh, and are additionally honored with a plaque as well as their family upon entrance into the building. They also donated hundreds of Torah scrolls to communities in Israel…

====

Can you guess who founded MATAN?

Aharon Bina’s wife, “Rabbanit Malke Bina.”

Snippet from Wikipedia:

After meeting her husband, Rabbi Aharon Bina and moving to America, Bina completed a Masters program in Bible and History at Revel at Yeshiva University in 1972….

Bina is on the Advisory Council of JOFA, the Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance, a grassroots non-profit organization established in 1997 to educate and advocate for women’s increased participation in Orthodox Jewish life and to create a community for women and men dedicated to such change….

====

If you go to the Wayback machine HERE, you’ll find a whole interview that Malke Bina did for the JOFA newsletter, back in 2006.

Here’s a screenshot:

====

And if you go HERE, to the Frumfollies website, you’ll find a series of articles about some very serious moral issues at the Netiv Aryeh yeshiva.

(And there’s also a specific website about the abuse that was happening at that yeshiva, HERE.)

In the comments section of the Frum Follies website HERE, you find a link to this enlightening article:

Epstein, Wexner, and Our Communal Reckoning with Dirty Money

That ‘communal reckoning’ got paused when Epstein was ‘suicided’ a few weeks after his arrest back in July 2019.

But something tells me, it’s coming around again.

The article in question focuses in on a co-ed ‘yeshiva’ in NYC that was run by more Wexner fellows, and that got more Wexner cash – like PARDES and Yeshiva U, called ‘Mechon Hadar’.

Read this, for more information:

How is Mechon Hadar different than the Pardes Institute?

====

So, massive hashgacha pratis once again at work here.

The current story on the blog I linked to above on Epstein and Wexner’s dirty money is THIS:

====

You can read that statement HERE– and understand more of what’s going on HERE – if you really feel the need.

Long story short – the ortho fem Empress has no clothes!

I’m eagerly waiting for the statement from MATAN’s Malke Bina, decrying the terrible atmosphere of bullying and sexual harassment that has engulfed JOFA over the last few years – that has been knowingly and deliberately covered up.

(Something tells me, I’ll be waiting a very long time….)

====

All these organisations taking the ‘dirty money’ of Wexner, and the rest of the Sabbatean-Frankists intent on ‘shattering orthodoxy’ from within…

They all talk a good game about morals and equality and ‘Torah lishma’ – but really?

They are just massive hypocrites.

They aren’t pushing for ‘equality’ and ‘women’s rights’, what they are pushing for is anything their Sabbatean-Frankist paymasters tell them to push for, in order to introduce more tumah into our homes, schools and communities.

And it’s time we stood up for ourselves and our families, and told them that.

====

***UPDATE***

I got sent one of the posters for that Women’s Daf Yomi Siyum, from January 2020, that was organised by something called Hadran – click to get to their website.

Hadran is founded by one ‘Rabbanit Michelle Farber‘ (and you can see more of their ortho-fem movers and shakers HERE – there’s a lot of overlap with Pardes and MATAN. Of course.)

Michelle Farber has her own Wikipedia page HERE, where you learn that:

Farber co-founded Hadran, an organization to promote Talmud study by women.

She is married to Rabbi Seth Farber, founder and director of the Jewish life advocacy organization, ITIM

====

Seth Farber runs another Frankist-funded Trojan Horse in the orthodox community, called ITIM.

Here’s a snippet from the Wikipedia page:

ITIM has been active in advocating the reform of Israeli laws governing conversion to Judaism.

In Israel, the Orthodox Rabbinate controls the recognition of conversions of Judaism; the Rabbinate does not recognize the validity of Conservative or Reform conversions, and in some cases has also refused to accept Orthodox conversions made by rabbis abroad.

ITIM has also challenged practices of the Chief Rabbinate in adding individuals to a marriage blacklist, which would “prevent them, their children and their maternal relatives from ever marrying in Israel.

====

If you go to ITIM’s ‘Supporters’ page HERE, you’ll find the usual mix of anti-Torah, Reform-pushing ‘Jewish Federations’ and donors, including many we’ve covered here already on the blog like the Russell Berrie Foundation; Avi Chai, and Charles and Lynn Schusterman, to name but a few:

====

The ‘shattering orthodoxy’ from within continues apace!

ITIM is at the forefront of the battle over conversions in Israel.

Yet again, we see ‘FRUM REFORM’ people being presented as ‘modern orthodox’, to persuade the rest of us that ‘orthodox people really do have these opinions too, you know….)

When they don’t at all.

What a massive CO-IN-CID-ENCE that Seth Farber’s wife is the one that founded Hadran, to make more inroads for these Reform-funded, pseudo-ortho-fems.

Hopefully, you are really starting to see how all this works, and who is really funding all these ortho-fems and ‘moderate modern orthodox’ people who are challenging Torah and halachot at the coal face.

And we should all flee from these organisations, and their anti-Torah agenda, like a bowshot.

This morning it’s blowing a gale again in Jerusalem.

***UPDATES***

In fact, it’s been really windy the last 4-5 days, on and off, in a way that feels very meaningful.

These are the winds of change.

Because more and more of us are starting to wake up, and starting to realise that things CANNOT go on the way they have been.

On so many levels.

====

Following on from THIS post, about how the anti-Torah Frankist-Freemasons are now turning their attention to a full-on ‘trans’ assault within the orthodox Jewish world, continuing their efforts to ‘shatter orthodoxy’ from within, I got sent another email telling me about someone called ‘Yaakov Smith’.

Here’s a little of what it said:

In 1989, I spent a few weeks in the Old City and a lot of time hanging out with residents and Aish families.
One of the most charismatic figures I met was someone named Yaakov Smith, married with six children from toddler to young teenager. They mekaved many.
At a time when Aish’s Discovery seminar was still 4 days long and very intense, he and his wife taught several classes.
Only some months after we met, they got divorced. Later, he came out as homosexual.
Anyway, long story short, today he is known as Yiscah Smith. He’s on the faculty of Pardes.
====

(Warning: it’s another ‘diet aid’ alert!)

Here he is today:

====

Man, how many times is God going to put up with ‘orthodox institutions’ spitting in the face of His Torah?

I don’t just mean individuals who think they know better than God which gender they are meant to be.

I mean the whole ‘open orthodoxy’ / modern orthodox movement as a whole, which really should be more honest, and rename itself:

FRUM REFORM

Because that’s what it really is.

====

Let’s pop the lid on the ‘Pardes Institute of Jewish Learning’, and see what ucky creatures slither out.

First, let me draw your attention to their newly updated ‘S*xual Harassment Prevention’ code, which you can see HERE.

Here’s their working definition of s*xual harassment:

B. Key Definitions and Israeli Law

S*xual harassment is unwelcome conduct of a s*xual nature.

It includes s*xual advances, requests for s*xual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a s*xual nature, when:

o Submission to such conduct is made either explicitly or implicitly in connection with a person’s ability to participate fully in their education;
o Submission to or rejection of such conduct is used as a basis for academic decisions affecting the individual; or
o Such conduct interferes with an individual’s academic performance or creates an intimidating, hostile or demeaning environment.

S*xual harassment also includes sexual violence, which refers to sexual acts that are against a person’s will or where a person is incapable of giving consent.

S*xual harassment can take many forms, physical, psychological, or verbal…

====

Here’s another snippet:

C. The Right to Self-Define Gender

1. Individuals have the right to define their own gender, and should be treated and referred to accordingly.
2. All-gender bathrooms are available on each floor. Additionally, each individual is entitled to define their own gender for the purposes of bathrooms.
3. When participating in the mechitza minyan, individuals can sit on the side that best conforms to their gender identity as they define it.
4. Each minyan has the right to define its criteria for counting towards the minyan. The egalitarian minyan counts anyone who is Jewish according to any major denomination, irrespective of gender identity.

The mechitza minyan counts trans-men who have undergone genital surgery. Every individual is trusted to present themselves faithfully as counting with respect to gender and halakhic status.

People will refrain from asking particular members intrusive questions in order to determine halachic status.

5. On Pardes overnight trips, students will be assigned to share rooms with members of their same gender. In cases where gender identity may cause discomfort for anyone, students may request roommates in a way that is comfortable for all in the room.

====

It seems to me that an orthodox Jew learning at Pardes is being subjected to ‘s*xual harassment’ non-stop by this institution.

Let’s replay the definition:

S*xual harassment is unwelcome conduct of a s*xual nature.

It includes s*xual advances, requests for s*xual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a s*xual nature, when:

o Submission to such conduct is made either explicitly or implicitly in connection with a person’s ability to participate fully in their education;
o Submission to or rejection of such conduct is used as a basis for academic decisions affecting the individual; or
o Such conduct interferes with an individual’s academic performance or creates an intimidating, hostile or demeaning environment.

====

Woe betide any female student who is uncomfortable using a bathroom together with a man dressed as a woman….

Woe betide any God-fearing Jew who is trying to find out if that ‘guy’ next to him really counts towards a minyan…

Woe betide any man or woman who doesn’t want to spend a night ‘rooming’ with the opposite sex….

Just try complaining about how your right to pray, pee or sleep in a genuinely Torah-observant way is being compromised by Pardes’ rules, and then you’ll quickly see that if you don’t ‘submit’ to Pardes conduct, against your will, you will:

  • find your ‘ability to participate fully’ in your education curtailed;
  • your conduct will be used as a ‘basis for academic decisions affecting’ you – and for sure-
  • you’ll instantly be plunged into a ‘intimidating, hostile and demeaning environment’.

Whaddya mean, you can’t room overnight with ‘Jake’?!?!?!?

Whaddya mean, that Joseph-ine doesn’t count in a minyan?!?!?!?

What sort of barbaric, bigoted, criminal person ARE YOU, exactly?!?!?

====

Sigh.

This is FRUM REFORM in action.

And why you should care, is because this institution is boasting on its website that:

[T]he Pardes Educators Program was created with the assistance of the Avi Chai Foundation and today produces more Jewish day school teachers than any other program.

These brainwashed ‘frum reform’ teachers from Pardes could be the ones teaching your kids in all those ‘dati leumi’ schools….

No wonder so few of my daughter’s ‘dati leumi-educated’ friends still believe in God, or still hold by the morality set out in the Torah.

Sigh again.

So, who’s funding the Pardes Institute?

Let’s head over to the History page HERE, to try to figure that out.

Snippet:

Pardes began with the unacknowledged support of the World Zionist Organization, which provided the physical facility and overhead, with salaries coming from student tuition. This arrangement continued until 1987, when the Institute became an independent, self-sustaining entity.

So, right from the beginning the secular, Zionist, Frankist State of Israel was behind this organisation.

Quelle surprise.

Today, the Avi Chai Foundation seems to be giving Pardes a lot of money, especially to train their ‘frum reform’ teachers to indoctrinate your children with anti-Torah tumah.

You can find the ‘Avi Chai Foundation’ website HERE.

The ‘About’ page is full of the usual weasel-words about being committed to the Jewish people and the State of Israel, blahdy blah, but really…. it smacks of yet another ‘Frankist-Freemason’ cut-out, designed to ‘shatter orthodoxy from within’, by subverting the next generation of Jewish teachers.

====

So, what can you and me really do about all this?

Bottom line, for all the ‘fancy words’ and ‘political correctness’, most people are actually moral cowards, sheeple, who will ‘go with the flow’ because they are worried about paying their bills and covering their mortgage.

For as long as ‘the stick’ is only on one side of this equation – i.e. people worry that they will be fired, ostracised, banned from completing their studies at places like Pardes for not following the ‘trans’ propaganda, 99% of them will fall into line.

But, if more of us start to complain to our schools – more of us start to make a fuss, and to really start questioning whether ANY school that considers itself to be genuinely ‘orthodox’ should be accepting FRUM REFORM-indoctrinated teachers from places like Pardes…. then this will start to change.

And when more of us stop playing these people’s Orwellian word games – stop calling them ‘orthodox’, when they really, really aren’t, they aren’t ‘open orthodox’, or ‘modern orthodox’, they are FRUM REFORM – then that will also start to be a big game-changer.

====

Most people don’t question how ‘orthodox’ these institutions really are, when they see the word ‘orthodox’ in their descriptor.

Yeah, it could be ‘open orthodox’, or ‘modern orthodox’ – that’s enough to make us think these people respect the Torah and at least might be truly God-fearing.

That’s why they insist on retaining the ‘orthodox’ bit in their titles.

But once we understand we are dealing with FRUM REFORM…..everything changes.

In an instant, we understand that there are NO ‘orthodox female rabbis’ out there, just FRUM REFORM ‘Rabbas’ and ‘Rabbanits’.

And that no truly God-fearing, orthodox institution is pushing the trans agenda – but tons of FRUM REFORM institutions are doing the bidding of their Frankist-funders, to ‘shatter orthodoxy’ from within.

====

So, get the definitions straight in your head.

And don’t be scared to start pushing back against all these PC ‘Frum-Reformers’ who like to pretend they represent orthodox Judaism.

They don’t.

And for our children’s sake, we need to start telling them that very loudly.

====

PS: When I was browsing the Pardes faculty page HERE, I came across this entry:

The ‘Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance‘ – JOFA – is also very connected to FRUM REFORM’s flagship ‘yeshiva’ for frum reform-smicha of women, YESHIVAT MAHARAT (that we talked about in the last post.)

And Koren books is happily publishing all this FRUM REFORM propaganda, from FRUM REFORM ‘rabbanits’, while still pretending they are an orthodox imprint.

You see how this works?

Ad matai, Tatty?

UPDATE:

I got an interesting email from Chananya Weissman on the topic of  his experience with ‘ortho fems’, much of which I’m sharing below, with permission.

==

Right before covid craziness took over the world, in the very beginning of 2020 was the most recent Daf Yomi siyum.

There was a big buzz in the “Jewish media” about women finishing the cycle in record numbers. All the coverage of this was favorable, naturally, with nary a question about why this was happening, for what reasons, who was behind this trend, and if this was a positive development with no conceivable downside.
I did a little digging and quickly found this was being driven by feminist entities that were on the very fringes of Orthodoxy even if we were to be generous.
I wrote an article exposing this and raising concerns about the women’s Daf Yomi movement, which I posted on my blog at the Slimes of Israel. The Jewish Press published a slightly edited version.
[Ed. note: I probably would…. ortho fems are still probably the most nutso of all the interesting people I’ve crossed swords with here on the blog, not least because they are so self-righteous, hypocritical, arrogant and quick to stoop to dirty tactics to shut you up.]
====

I don’t think I ever wrote something that went so viral, so quickly.

The Times of Israel article was shared thousands of times, far more than anything I ever posted there. There were long threads all over Facebook. The Jewish Press devoted a whole section in the letters to the editor just to responses to this article, after someone urged people to bombard them with angry letters.
Not surprisingly, almost all the reactions were overwhelmingly negative, filled with the usual personal attacks, vulgarity, straw men, emotional reactions, and attempts to cancel me.
Some people contacted me privately and thanked me stating what they were thinking, but the public reaction was a torch-bearing mob.

Most of these seemed to come from “modern Orthodox” women in Beit Shemesh and Efrat, as well as completely irreligious people and even non-Jews, who suddenly were all in favor of Gemara study.

==

One “rabbi” from Efrat wrote a long Facebook post against me, filled with specious arguments and personal attacks, that drew a lot of attention and was also printed in the Jewish Press….

The Slimes of Israel eventually banned me from posting on their blogs after I criticized one of their darlings, Benny Lau. I didn’t even name him, just noted that he was a token rabbi at the feminist Daf Yomi siyum. That was simply too much for the Slimes of Israel, who do not tolerate any less than respectful remarks against any rabbi, of course…
[Ed. note: Benny Lau – and his father, Meir Lau  – descend from the notorious SHOR family I keep mentioning on this blog. Quelle surprise.]
==
I’ve continued to hammer the feminists and their ilk ever since, and encourage everyone to wake up and get in the game.
This garbage is a real threat to the Jewish people, and even people who aren’t personally affected (or don’t think they are) need to speak out and make it clear this trash is not kosher, period.
Here are the links:

Ad kan, from R’ Weissman.

Ladies, it’s really up to us to stand up to the ortho fems, because they can’t just smear us with the same ‘sexist’ tactics they generally use with everyone else.

I’m not a man. I’m not a self-hating woman. I’m also very educated, and articulate, and not just chained to my kitchen sink washing dishes and having babies.
And I still think that all this ‘ortho fem’ stuff is totally poisonous, and just out to ‘shatter orthodoxy’ from within.
The Women of the Wall are wielding their Torah scroll, like a battering ram at the Kotel, and all these ‘PC’, abortion-pushing, trans gender embracing ‘rabbas’ are wielding their ‘smicha’ in the classroom and online, to try and batter down our traditions and our children’s morality.

But with God’s help, we will overcome.

Well, it’s never dull.

Yesterday, I got an email from a lady in Israel called Alix Aharon, who runs The Gender Mapping Project site, asking me if I knew that the book ‘I am Jazz‘ had been translated into Hebrew.

What’s ‘I am Jazz?’

I wondered to myself. I sent a few more emails to Alix, and within half an hour, I had the answer to that particular question – but about four million others to ask.

====

First, I have to admit to really not knowing a lot about all the reality TV shows of sadly dysfunctional and mentally-ill people that today passes for ‘entertainment’.

Maybe in a kinder past, parents and communities would huddle around to give these suffering souls in our midst some real love, concern and attention, instead of encouraging them to ‘bare their souls’ for the voyeuristic public.

But today, the whole world seems to have turned into Barnum’s ‘Greatest Show in Earth’.

Except today, ‘The Bearded Lady’ would be diagnosed as ‘trans’ and encouraged to get started on Puberty Blockers and scheduled for a radical mastectomy….

But while some things have changed,  the motive is still exactly the same:

“According to his critics, [Barnum’s] personal aim was “to put money in his own coffers.” He is widely credited with coining the adage “There’s a sucker born every minute“.

====

Anyway, let’s get back to ‘I am Jazz’ in Hebrew – and why that’s such a problem.

Here’s a screenshot of the book’s description, on Steimatzky HERE:

====

English translation:

Ever since she was a child, Jazz knew she had a girl’s brain in a boy’s body.

She loved the pink colour and dressing up as the Little Mermaid, and didn’t feel like herself in boy clothes. I Am Jazz tells the story of a trans girl in a simple and clear way that everyone will love – children, parents and teachers – and is based on the life of Jazz Jennings, who has become a spokesperson for trans and trans children all over the world.

====

Somewhere in the back of my mind, I remembered someone telling me about ‘Jazz Jennings’.

He’s a boy, whose pushy, crazy mother decided was ‘trans’ while he was still in diapers, and that this poor ‘trans’ kid Jazz Jennings should be the star of his own TV show, as he ‘transitioned’ from boy to girl….

My friend told me that by the end of the second series, it was already clear that the ‘happy ever after’ ending was NEVER going to happen for Jazz Jennings, because all the experimental surgery and radical hormone therapy and other drugs he was on (like permanently, for the rest of his life…) had left him with a number of really serious physical health issues, and also tons of mental and emotional health problems including serious depression.

My friend told me she felt so sorry for this kid, whose crazy mother had pushed him to become a reality TV ‘spokesperson for trans and trans children all over the world.’

====

I do a quick search for ‘Jazz Jennings’ to see whatever happened to that poor, child-abused boy, whose parents ‘decided’ he was trans when he was just two years old, and I get to this, from the GatewayPundit site HERE:

The parents of Jazz Jennings, a man who was ushered into the national spotlight as a transgender activist at the age of 7, “fat-shame” and chastise their self-proclaimed mentally ill son in the upcoming season of “I am Jazz.”

In a trailer promoting the 7th season of the reality series, Jennings reveals he has gained over 100 pounds amid his ongoing struggle with mental health and being mocked and ridiculed by his family.

There is no happy ending for these ‘trans’ children, no matter all the propaganda they are constantly churning out aimed at our children – and now in Hebrew!!!

====

Some old-time children’s entertainer ‘Doda Tzipi’ – who I’ve never heard of, honestly, but who is apparently very popular in Israel – just posted up a video to her Facebook page of her reading ‘I am Jazz’ to her little grandchild, and cooing over how wonderful the book is.

Really?

Are there really sane people out there, who can’t wait for their children and grandchildren to ‘switch gender’ so they too can go through the sort of hellish existence being experienced by ‘Jazz Jennings’, who effectively got ‘sterilised’ by their ‘trans-gender’ surgery and drugs, is clinically depressed – and now also obese, on top of everything else?

Really?

The mind boggles.

====

If this post stopped here, that would be bad enough.

But if you can believe it, I think it gets even worse.

Let me introduce you to ‘Shuli Elisheva’, a man who apparently believes he’s a modern-orthodox woman, who is writing barely-disguised trans porn explaining his ‘journey’ for a site that is pretending to be for orthodox Jewish women, called ‘Unorthoboxed’.

Here he is:

====

Ladies, think of Shuli as a diet-aid – one glance, and he totally puts you off your breakfast!

So anyway, I got to this guy via THIS article on the GenderMapping website, snippet below:

Since 2019, a man named Samuel “Sam” Zerin (aka Samatha Zerin, aka Shuli Elisheva) has”identified as a woman.” More recently, he has also decided he is specifically an Orthodox woman. This is even though he does not practice Orthodox Judaism and is a man and can’t change his biological sex no matter what Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity (SOGI) activists say….

Yet, with the support of LGBTQI+ activists, advocacy organizations, and a platform provided by an online publication supposedly by and for Orthodox women called “Unorthoboxed,” Shuli has launched a campaign to push himself into Orthodox Jewish women’s spaces.

====

(Warning: this article contains screenshots of a lot of Zerin’s frankly pornographic musings, so I would advise to skip it. That’s just one of the problems with this topic, and with these people – they m’teimah everything and everyone they come into contact with.)

====

It just gets worse and worse.

I google ‘Samuel Zerin’, and I immediately get to about 4,000 articles in all the usual Jewish propaganda machines, like the JTA, the Jpost, and all the rest of them.

Guess what I learned (from HERE)?

‘Samuel ‘Shuli Elisheva’ Zerin’ is (or at least, was….) married, and has a child.

He’s married to Rachel Zerin, who is:

[T]he associate rabbi at Temple Emanu-El, a Conservative congregation in Providence, Rhode Island.

Samantha Zerin had looked into whether there were any other spouses of congregational rabbis who transitioned whom she could contact for support. She wasn’t able to find any.

Well, duh!

====

Go read the full story on the JPOST – especially if you’re trying to lose some of that post-Pesach weight – because I want you to understand 100%, that ‘Shuli Elisheva’ is NOT, and never will be, a ‘modern orthodox woman’.

Here he is, reading a children’s story in Yiddish from 2014, with a full, bushy beard:

====

So, what is he doing as a columnist on ‘Unorthoboxed’?

(Apart from the obvious, i.e. acting as yet another Frankist-funded Trojan Horse, to try and ‘push’ all their mentally-ill, anti-Torah agendas into our mainstream Jewish communities, under the guise of more ‘equality’?)

====

I asked Alix Aharon if she knew who was funding ‘Unorthoboxed’, that says this about itself, on its Home Page:

====

Because, you know, you can just ‘self-define’ yourself as anything these days….

‘Unorthoboxed’s editor is one ‘Penina Taylor’ – a secular American Jew who became an evangelical xtian at age 16, and even joined the Billy Graham Project as a missionary, before moving to Baltimore to try to ‘infiltrate’ the local Jewish community there.

According to Penina’s own story – watch below, or read it HERE – the local Chabad rabbi of Park Heights, Baltimore, R’ Elchonon Lisbon, encouraged her and her four children to keep coming to his shul, even when he knew she and her husband were active missionaries.

Snippet from the Chabad.org site HERE:

In 2000, they purchased a home in Baltimore’s Orthodox neighborhood with the hope they would evangelize Jews. But when she started talking to people about Christianity, they were not responsive. One Shabbat a Lubavitch rabbi came over to their home and insisted that though her beliefs were not Jewish, she and her children were. He urged them to continue attending his synagogue.

====

Let’s park that part of the story, at least for now, and come back to how Penina Taylor can claim to be editing an orthodox magazine for ‘modern orthodox women’ while still pushing anti-Torah, pornographic ‘trans’ propaganda written by a man who is married to a female ‘rabbi’.

With permission, let me quote something from an email Alix sent me:

The story about Shuli is important.

There are many men online who wear sheitels and stockings and pretend to be women, but being involved in an online magazine for Jewish women is particularly offensive.

Especially when I warned Penina in writing several times that Shuli’s delusions about his body come from a pornographic fantasy and a sexual dysfunction. Every Jewish woman who is forced to read Shuli’s online pornographic fantasies in a Jewish womens magazine have, in my opinion, been the victim of a sexual crime.

We are living in a world where Penina’s actions go unquestioned, but me, the women’s rights activist in the Jewish community, is called a hateful bigot by other orthodox women!…

==

I’ve spoken to many people about Penina.

Rav Menken of the Coalition of Jewish Values was blown away by my reporting of her, as she is someone who is pretty respected.

For context, I contacted her asking to meet with me online so I could explain to her why this man is dangerous- instead of listening to my concerns, she ran away from my questions.

====

If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you’ll already know that I put a lot of effort into trying to figure out who is funding all this stuff – as that usually tells you 99% of what you need to know, about where it’s really coming from.

So, I headed over to the ‘Unorthoboxed’ Twitter feed, to see if I could get some more clues there.

That’s where I trip over Unorthoboxed ‘Ask the Rabba’ section:

====

It’s bigging up a ‘female orthodox rabba’ – whatever that’s meant to mean – called Melissa Scholten-Gutierrez.

Within 3 seconds of googling her name, I get to this, from HERE:

Snippet:

This weekend I participated in the National Council of Jewish Women’s Repro Shabbat initiative, advocating for the protection of all people of faith to practice their religions freely.

Any law that limits a person’s ability to access abortion or reproductive health services limits their ability to practice their faith, and thus violates the First Amendment’s protections of separation of church and state.

As a Jewish leader, I have a platform to show that religious communities can be loving and welcoming to anyone who has, or may ever, terminate a pregnancy.

====

Sigh.

This Scholten-Gutierrez apparently got her smicha as ‘an orthodox rabbi’ from a place called YESHIVAT MAHARAT.

Screenshot:

====

Avi Weiss is the founder of the so-called ‘Open Orthodoxy’ movement, which you can read more about – as a diet aid! – HERE.

And even without looking at the donors, I already know that ‘YESHIVAT MAHARAT is another ‘pretend orthodox Trojan Horse’ in our Jewish community, funded by the usual Frankist-Freemasons.

But here, let me prove that:

====

Notice all the ‘Jewish Womens’ Foundation’ funders?

This screenshot comes from the NYC branch – who can’t even write ‘HISTORY’ anymore:

====

Notice that ‘Bela K Lindenbaum’?

This snippet comes from her Wikipedia page:

Lindenbaum, her husband Marcel, and Shlomo Riskin co-founded Midreshet Lindenbaum, a post high school institute in Israel for students which combines service in the Israeli Defense Forces with religious studies.

She served as a founding board member of Yeshivat Maharat, on the Board of Directors of Yeshivat Chovevei Torah, a board member of Yeshiva University, President of the American Friends of Bar-Ilan University, a board member of Ramaz Day School, a past president of the Drisha Institute of Jewish Education, and a President and Vice President of the Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance.

====

Remember how Shlomo Riskin was also pushing that ‘orthodox female rabbi’ Mirvis in Efrat, too?

Always the same people, always the same modus operandi.

From past experience, I can tell you that ‘ortho fems’ are nearly always being funded – lavishly – by Frankist-Freemasons with a not-so-hidden agenda to ‘shatter orthodoxy’.

Here’s another screenshot of more YESHIVAT MAHARAT funders:

====

Hey, it’s our good friends (connected to child trafficker and woman abuser Jeffrey Epstein…) The Wexner Foundation!

You hopefully get the point.

====

So, what do we do about all this?

The first thing is just to follow the principle of KNOW THINE ENEMY.

Anything ‘ortho-fem’, anything ‘open orthodox’, anything pushing the trans agenda in any way, shape or form – these things are being funded by people who are dedicated to and obsessed with uprooting the Torah, and Torah-based morality.

====

The second thing is to start to PUSH BACK.

You can write to Penina Taylor HERE.

Please ask her who is funding her publication; why she has a trans man who is not an orthodox Jew – at all – writing porn for her readers; and why she’s pushing ‘ortho-feminist rabbas’ who just lurve abortions on her readers, all while pretending to be a publication for ‘orthodox women’.

Also, as parents, as believing Jews, we have to start standing up for what is right, and stop being steamrollered by narcissist snowflakes with radical agendas to turn our children against themselves – and against God.

And against us, their parents.

I am totally not politically correct, and when people start trying to spout their ‘PC’ rubbish, I challenge it hard and fast.

Because I know what’s really at stake.

====

The third thing is to pay a visit to that Gender Mapping Project site, HERE, and start to get more educated about what is going on with this ‘trans’ agenda in the Jewish community.

If you have children who are being confused by all the propaganda – or know someone who is in that position – this site was created to try to support parents, to stand up and defend the rights of their children to grow up sound in body and mind, without being ‘brainwashed’ by an industry bent on making a lot of money out of teenagers’ natural confusions and issues.

People like Alix are working very hard to bring more parents together, to stop this ‘trans propaganda’ in the Jewish community in its tracks.

With God’s help.

Let me leave Alix with the last word, about why we have to start getting involved with this issue, even though I know so many of us find it so hard to deal with, on so many levels:

We recently spoke to an Israeli father in New York whose daughter committed suicide after taking hormones and removing her breasts.

====

That poor man.

His poor daughter.

Enough is enough.
