I went to the Old City, the Kotel yesterday.

We got there around 1.20pm in the afternoon, shortly after the terrorist attack that is meant to have killed one person and injured another 3, by the Chain Gate.

When I lived in Musrara, I’d take that route through the shuk down to the Wall, as it knocked off at least 10-15 minutes of walking.

I was in the Old City a lot, when the ‘stabbing intifada’ was going on a few years’ back, because my kids were in school there, and there was no way you could ‘avoid’ the situation, as school had to happen, day in and day out.

It was very stressful.

But that time taught me that there is a ‘feel’ to terrorist attacks, especially ones that result in fatalities, that hangs around in the air, for days, weeks, and sometimes even months afterwards.

We didn’t know about the terrorist attack until 5 minutes before we left.

We checked the Kotel Cam to see if they were still letting people come to the Wall – they were.

So we walked down.

The place felt totally, 100% normal.

No additional security.

No sad vibe.

No ‘fear’ in the air.

Security forces laughing and jostling each other, totally relaxed, as though a ‘fatal terrorist attack’ hadn’t just happened that morning….

I don’t know what to tell you.

This is not how the Old City usually looks or feels, after even ‘minor’ terror attacks.

After all the fake news we’ve been living through the last two years, I have a niggling discomfort that something is not right, here.

To try and dispel it, I broke my rule of not watching video of ‘terrorist attacks’ to see if I could pin things down better.

I got to this (not disturbing, not graphic):

The Old City is totally bristling with AI and CCTV cameras.

Every square inch is covered.

And yet this weird video, of Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai trying to keep a straight face, as people pick up machine guns and bullets from a floor that has absolutely no blood stains, seems to be the best they can do, to show that a terrorist attack really occurred yesterday.

I don’t know what to say.

I don’t know what to think.

But something seems really ‘off’ about this.

And yet again, I suspect we may be back in that world of ‘fake news’, where terror attacks are just more grist for the mill, when it comes to the government’s tried and true tactics of ‘divide and conquer’.

PS: I showed my husband this clip, and he commented on how neatly ironed Kobi Shabtai’s shirt is… mamash, like he was expecting to appear for the cameras, or something….

Here’s a clip of his fiance, Jen Schiff, speaking to the media (not shmirat eynayim friendly).

I can’t explain what I’m feeling, and I’m not saying it didn’t happen.

I’m just feeling that ‘something is not adding up with all this’. And if anything, the more I look into this, the more I’m feeling that, and I don’t know exactly why.

THIS is a very brief story about the father of 8 who was apparently injured in the attack, who is named as Ze’evi Katzenelenbogen.

And this is more of a description of Eliyahu David Kaye’s family, from Johannesburg:

And the Chabad.org site has probably the most detailed news story I’ve seen about this, anywhere:

In another strange twist, this article says it was put up at 7:02am November 21, 2021 – presumably that’s US time, so it was at 2pm Israel time, yesterday.

Yet it quotes Eli Kay’s fiance, Jen Schiff, in the interview she gave yesterday night:

Maybe, they updated the story and didn’t update the timing.

But at 2pm Israeli time yesterday, Eli Kay’s name still hadn’t been released in the media here.

So Chabad.org really worked fast, to get all those quotes, including from the Chief Rabbi of South Africa, and also from two former classmates, in the bag, written up, and up on the website by 7.02 am yesterday NY time.

Here’s when the name was first released in Israel, and then written up yesterday, from YNET HERE:

15:22 Israel time is 8:22am NY time.

So Chabad.org scooped YNET on the name of the victim by over an hour – and managed to get quotes from the Chief Rabbi, two classmates, and also his almost-fiancee in their story, even though she still hadn’t given her press conference later that evening…

I don’t know what’s really going on here.

But the more I check into the details, the more I’m scratching my head.

This is a video my husband just sent me, that he says seems much more realistic:

After seeing this, I can say 100% that the footage with police chief Kobi Shabtai this morning was staged, ‘fake news’.

Then this is the next video that cued up automatically, that has Jen Schiff, and other members of Eli Kay’s family speaking:

Whatever really happened yesterday, I continue to pray that God should end the pointless violence in Israel, crumble the world of lies and bring us geula already.

I had some interesting emails yesterday.

Here’s some snippets:

My son is very familiar with the mafia ties of Chabad, and he recommended that I warn you that they can be a lot more dangerous than governments because they can do things without scrutiny. He advised you to be careful with your research, for your own sake.

And then this:

Are they after half of the Old City? Your investigation sniffer is on to something, I fear!
US officials ordered to avoid Old City of Jerusalem
US State Department issues warning following deadly Hamas shooting attack, orders government employees not to visit Old City of Jerusalem.
Since when did they ever do this? So many have been attacked and killed there, but this seems to be the first time they said this.
And then this:
[Y]ou may be right regarding the police but when you start inveigling innocent Lubavitchers with MURDER even you have reached the lowest level. Hashem yerachem.

For the record, I have no idea how I’m ‘inveigling innocent Lubavitchers with MURDER’.

All that happened is that I pointed out a number of strange inconsistencies with footage and timing of details being released, and also pinned down that the Israel Police put out a clip where they faked the gun and bullets being picked up off the floor of the Arab Shuk in front of people like Kobi Shabtai.
That the Israeli police have nothing better to do within an hour of 4 people apparently being gunned down than to ‘stage’ shots with Kobi Shabtai at the crime scene is outrageous.
That there is no CCTV footage of this attack – at all! – is strange.
That Chabad.org could quote large chunks of a statement given by someone many hours ahead of them delivering it is also strange.

We are being manipulated by the media, government, police and army 24/7.

Fake news is everywhere, trying to push an agenda that is usually against the best interests of the man on the street.

Covid 19 proved that beyond a doubt.

All of us have to keep our eyes open, and to ask questions when things don’t add up.

That’s all that’s going on here.

And if that’s not to your taste and liking, no-one is forcing you to read this blog.

Stick to YWN, Chabad.org, CNN, the Daily Mail, and all those reliable purveyors of government propaganda that give you a warm, fuzzy feeling that Covid shots are protecting you from dangerous viruses, and governments just want to pay your retirement cheques and give you good services.
Free choice is paramount.

Maybe they are covering up that a soldier died from the vacs or in a “vaxident”. It’s VERY weird. I also felt like there wasn’t the same news coverage as usual. I thought maybe it’s because people are getting so used to hearing about deaths from “covid”, terrorism isn’t as much of a news story as it used to be.

A young man is tragically murdered, a family, friends a nation is mourning, and you see an opportunity to peddle your pet conspiracy theories (not to mention make snide remarks about his fiancee). “At long last, have you left no sense of decency?”

Well, I suppose it’s a good way of avoiding the hits that keep coming from the elephant in the room.

I got this note in a private WhatsApp message from a friend (I left in the few typos there were):

Eliyahu David Kay, 26, a recent immigrant from South Africa, a beautiful Jewish man who served in the IDF paratroopers was slaughtered by an Arab today near the Kotel. He left a comfortable home to serve his people and land and raise a beautiful Jewish family.

It is not going to happen.

Of course the chief of police and politicians appeared for the photo op. Surprise! Arabs kill Jews in the Jewish capital and land! How can that happen!

These are the same excuses for “Jewish leaders” who accused Jews for the antiSemitic Arab pogroms a few months ago.

The Arabs are listening to this libel and self hatred – and act.

These arrogant, petty, empty souls take their cue from the original sin committed by the Defense minister of the Six Day War of 1967, Moshe Dayan.

The Arab murderer today would not be in Jerusalem today to kill a Jew had Dayan not barred the way of his grandfather to flee our land when the IDF routed the enemy in 1967. The enemy population wanted to flee! The fear of God shook them. Dayan made sure they stayed. Dayan had no God but himself. He was so kind to the enemy. So cruel to his own.

One more Jewish soul on your bloody hands Mr. Dayan. The pathetic ones in the photo op today had a good teacher.

May we be blessed with true Jewish leadership.

What do you think of this, Rivka?

Agreed. The one eyed evil one will go down in our history as one of our worst. At best, a fool, at worst, an enemy from within.

I think that we can’t forget that ‘Ein Od Milvado’.

If God decided the Arabs should stay in Israel, via His ‘shaliach’ Moshe Dayan, then clearly it’s because they have a spiritual purpose to serve. We Jews rebelled against Hashem in a million different ways, especially in ‘Zionist’ Israel.

So many people made sincere teshuva after the Yom Kippur War…

Rav Berland teaches that when the Jewish people make real teshuva, all our ‘enemies’ will disappear all by themselves. They are literally created from our sins.

And that includes Arab terrorists, and everyone else who is off killing Jews, and others.

I forgot to say that accompanying the above written message was an audio message from someone claiming to know Eliyahu David Kay. He sounded like he had a South African-like accent, too.

Just thought you’d want to know that.

    Even more info:

The funeral for Eliyahu David Kay started at 1:30 this afternoon in Givat Sha’ul. Burial will be (or was) at Har haMenuhot, not far from there.

Maybe the video was deliberately shot in the wrong place? And, if so, why?

      I’m not saying nothing happened.

      I don’t know what happened.

What I know for sure, is that there wasn’t the same ‘feeling’ in the Old City a couple of hours after the attack, that there has been in the past, after even much less serious attacks.

There was not the same security presence, the same heavy ‘atmosphere’, the same feeling that something bad had just happened. That’s what struck me as very strange, as terror attacks really leave a trace, spiritually, that can be felt for days and weeks afterwards, almost palpably.

The other thing that I can tell you for sure is that the footage of Kobi Shabtai seems staged.

That’s what I can tell you for sure. The rest, I don’t know about.
