The last few days, I’ve been speed-reading through a bunch of material to put together a ‘time line’ of what has happened in the Ukraine since 2013, to get us to this stage.
Once you understand the history and the context, it gets way easier to understand what is really going on, and that there are no ‘good guys’ here (except the common people like you and me, who really want a God-fearing, just and peaceful world.)
That said, if I had to pick between the greater and lesser evil, Putin and Russia is emerging as the ‘lesser evil’. But study the facts for yourself, below, and come to your own conclusions.
I’m going to do this bullet-point style, to try to set things out as clearly as possible, without overtaxing the braincells – because I’m also finding it harder and harder to keep digesting massive quantities of info at the moment.
And where possible, I will stick in clickable links for you to go back and see where the information is coming from, so you can make your own judgement about whether it’s from a credible source.
Let’s do this!
1929: The Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) is formed in the Ukraine.
That same year, the Bolsheviks introduce their policy of agricultural ‘collectivisation’ – which is strongly opposed by most Ukrainians. That sets the stage for what is going to happen three year’s later.
1932-1933: Around 10 million Ukrainians are deliberately starved to death, as a result of Joseph Stalin’s ‘forced collectivisation’ policies.
The Bolsheviks send their agents to confiscate all food supplies from the Ukrainian peasants, who have been protesting against collectivisation and Bolshevik rule.
This genocide of the Ukrainian people is known as the ‘Holodomor’.
1941: Ukrainian nationalist Stepan Bandera takes over the OUN, and adds his name to it: Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists- Bandera (OUNb)
The OUNb is publically aligned with Adolf Hitler, and publishes the following statement of intent:
“The newly-formed Ukrainian State will work closely with the National-Socialist Greater Germany, under the leadership of Adolf Hitler, which is forming a new order in Europe and the world, and is helping the Ukrainian people to free itself from Muscovite occupation…”
1943: the OUNb military unit kills 70,000 Jews and Poles, in the summer alone.
1948: Stepan Bandera goes to work (secretly…) for British Intelligence (MI6).
Also in 1948, Bandera’s top henchman, Mykola Lebed – the person who oversaw the massacres of 1943 – goes to work for the CIA, fronting a CIA cut out called: Prolog Research Corp.
1989-1990: The Berlin Wall is torn down, the USSR collapses.
1992: Leonid Kuchma becomes Ukrainian Prime Minister for the first time.
His daughter is married to Jewish oligarch billionaire, Viktor Pinchuk.
2002: Ukrainian opposition call for Kuchma to be impeached, when tape recordings appear to show him ordering the murder of Ukrainian journalist Georgy Gongadze.
He’s charged with that crime in 2011 – but the case is then dropped for lack of admissible evidence.
Also in 2002, Kuchma – who is now president of Ukraine – appoints a Russian-speaking Ukrainian from Donetzk as prime minister, called Viktor Yanukovych.
Kuchma and Yanukovych both want to strengthen ties with Russia.
2004: Yanukovych runs for President of Ukraine, and is publically endorsed by Vladimir Putin.
His main challenger is another former PM, and governor of the Ukrainian National Bank, pro-Western Viktor Yushchenko.
Yushchenko is poisoned with Dioxin during the Presidential Campaign and almost dies.
When pro-Russian Yanukovych is declared President of Ukraine, that sparks off the so-called ‘Orange Revolution’ riots.
That leads to the Supreme Court ‘cancelling’ his win and ordering another round of elections.
Still in 2004: Evidence emerges that George Soros’ International Renaissance Foundation, together with other US-funded organisations in the Ukraine, were behind the ‘Orange Revolution’ in Ukraine.
2005: ‘Pro-Western’ Viktor Yushchenky becomes the new Ukrainian President.
He is also fantastically corrupt – and is plausibly accused of orchestrating much of the plundering of Ukraine by oligarchs and other corrupt elements.
“The appointment to the post of chief banker [of the Ukrainian National Bank] was very timely for Viktor Yushchenko. Not only did it open up new opportunities for personal wealth and influence, but it was also a qualitative leap in his career…
[T]he prosecutor’s office’s investigators were firmly on the tail of the future “hope of the nation”, and the new appointment certainly saved him from criminal prosecution….
And so, with a stroke of the chief banker’s pen, the operating, experienced-staffed, well-established and state-profitable [Ukrainian Interbank Currency Exchange]… was transferred to private hands – into the hands of a clan of financiers, to which, as the facts show, Viktor Yushchenko himself… belonged.”
Go HERE and Google translate to read more. Basically, Yushchenko turned Ukrainian Government Bonds into a pyramid scheme. Yushchenko and a few banks like Merrill Lynch, profited tremendously – on bonds apparently offering a 70% yield! – until it all crashed.
At that point, the Ukrainian economy was wrecked, the country’s credit rating was garbage – and the IMF was waiting in the wings to start lending money with horrible strings attached, designed to further enrich the same small group of corrupt people who caused the problem in the first place.
Between 2005-2010: Ukraine goes to the elections three times.
Yushchenko is highly unpopular, as Ukrainian president – but he continues to push integration with the West, at every turn even as the Ukrainian economy collapses under the weight of all the corruption.
Snippet from HERE:
Viktor Yushchenko’s ideal was for Ukraine to join all major European economic and political structures, as well as the NATO military bloc, on equal terms with their “old” members.
By 2009, Ukraine wins the ‘honor’ of becoming the most corrupt country in the list of ‘newly emerging countries’ – scoring 4.3 out of a possible maximum 5, for state-sponsored corruption, as Yushchenko and his family and acquaintances continue to plunder national assets for themselves and their shadowy Western ‘sponsors’.
January 2010: Pro-Russian Victor Yanukovych becomes the President of Ukraine.
Remember, this is the same guy who was prevented from becoming President back in 2004, by the US-Soros sponsored ‘Orange Revolution’.
Snippet from HERE:
“As president, Yanukovych promptly demonstrated his pro-Russian leanings. In April 2010 he struck a deal with Russian Pres. Dmitry Medvedev to extend Russia’s lease of the port at Sevastopol, the base of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, until 2042. In exchange, Ukraine would receive a reduction in the price of Russian natural gas.”
April 2013: Yanukovych is pressured into nominally agreeing to sign an ‘Association Agreement’ between Ukraine and the EU.
But he changes his mind, when he figures out it’s going to actually have a negative impact on the Ukraine economy as more of that corrupt oligarch ‘privatisation’ starts to happen all over the place.
So, Yanukovych pulls out in November 2013, leading to the next event:
November 21, 2013: EuroMaidan protests begin in Kiev.
Those protests are funded and organised by George Soros and the Obama Administration.
Below, you’ll find a 5 minute clip of the infamous Victoria Nuland, in February 2014, basically setting out how the Obama administration bullied the Ukraine into signing the Association Agreement with the EU after the US-sponsored ‘Euromaidan Coup’ kicked out the President who was standing up to them.
She says: “It was time to finish the job.”
If you go HERE, you’ll find a piece from 2014 on the BBC website called this:
Pyatt was the US’s ambassador to the Ukraine, just before the ‘EuroMaidan’ coup, that replaced Russian-friendly president with someone more to the liking of the US.
Nuland and Pyatt were basically caught on tape discussing ‘regime change’ in the Ukraine, which then happened shortly afterwards.
The EuroMaidan protests were carried out by members of the fascist Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) that you read about at the beginning of this timeline.
In a re-branding exercise, the OUN joined forces with other Ukrainian nationalist groups to become the ‘Right Sector’.
Now, depending on who you listen to, the ‘Right Sector’ is either protecting Ukraine and Ukrainians from ‘Russian aggression’, OR, they have killed 14,000 Russian-Ukrainians since 2014 in the pro-Russian regions of Eastern Ukraine.
It could be, that both statements are correct.
March 21, 2014: Petro Poroshenko, ‘pro-Western’ President of Ukraine (and good buddy of Joe Biden) signs the ‘Association Agreement’ between Ukraine and the EU.
Snippet from HERE:
The political provisions of the treaty were signed on 21 March 2014, after a series of events that had stalled its ratification culminated in a revolution in Ukraine and overthrow of the then incumbent President of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych...
Russia, Ukraine’s second largest trading partner, instead presented [Yanukovych] an association with the existing Customs Union of Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan as an alternative….
[T]he European Union and the new Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed the economic part of the Ukraine–European Union Association Agreement on 27 June 2014, and described this as Ukraine’s “first but most decisive step” towards EU membership.
Also in March 2014: Pro-Russian Crimea votes to secede from the Ukraine, and to join the Russian Federation instead.
This was a direct reaction to the ‘Euromaidan Coup’ that kicked the democratically-elected Yanukovych out, for trying to stand up for the Ukraine’s own best interest, and replacing him with the corrupt puppet called Petro Poryshenko.
Here’s how the corrupt Guardian covered this flowering of Crimean democratic muscle:
April 7, 2014: Donetsk also secedes from Ukraine, and renames itself the ‘Donetsk Peoples Republic’.
It is joined by Luhansk – in the Donbas region of Eastern Ukraine – which becomes the independent “Luhansk People’s Republic.”
Snippet from HERE:
“Ukraine regards both the DPR and the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) as terrorist organisations.. Ukraine considers them to be part of the “temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine” as a result of Russian military intervention, together with the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.”
From this point on, there was violence between these breakaway states, and the Ukrainian military, including the infamous ‘Azov Battalions’ and Right Sector fascists, who were trying to force these breakaway states full of Russian-Ukrainians to officially rejoin the motherland.
September 5, 2014: the Minsk I Treaty between Ukraine, Russia and the shadowy-sounding Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) is signed.
This is meant to stop the fighting in the region, and offer greater autonomy to the Russian-speaking breakaway parts of Ukraine, if they agree to rejoin the Ukraine.
The agreement doesn’t stick.
September 8, 2014: Amnesty International calls in the Ukrainian government to end the war crimes being committed by the ‘battalions of volunteers’ that it has operating alongside its armed forces.
February 2015: The Minsk II Treaty is agreed between Kiev and Donbas, leading to a ceasefire.
Between 2015-16, there is relative peace in the area.
December 2016: Donald Trump is elected President of the USA.
Donbas starts to heat up again – blamed on Kiev’s ‘creeping offensive’ to try to regain more of its lost territory.
Snippet from HERE:
“Alexander Hug, deputy chief of OSCE’s Special Monitoring Mission for Ukraine reported that Kiev’s forces had positioned large calibre artillery, including towed howitzers, main battle tanks and multiple-launch rockets, banned under the Minsk deal, in the open, with impunity.”
By February 2017: 10,000+ Russian-Ukrainians in the Donbas region had died, as a result of the fighting.
What no-one is telling you, is that the Donbas region actually voted to become an independent state called the Luhansk People’s Republic, and that Ukraine sent in their army to stop that from happening.
You see, how having more of this historical context starts to change the bigger picture?
February 1, 2017: President Poroshenko announces that Ukraine will hold a referendum on joining NATO.
November 11, 2018: The People’s Council of the Donetsk People’s Republic and the People’s Council of the Luhansk People’s Republic hold elections.
They are heavily criticised for doing this by Ukrainian President Poroshenko, the EU and the US, who basically view these elections as a confirmation that these States are serious about retaining their independence, and starting to chart their own course in the world.
May 20, 2019: Comedian and actor Vladimir Zelensky becomes the new President of Ukraine.
He replaces Joe Biden’s good buddy, Petro Poroshenko.
He launches a ‘war against corruption’ – with a particular focus on the corruption of oligarchs with Russian ties.
In the meantime, leaks from the ‘Pandora Papers’ shows that Zelensky recieved $40 million from Igor Kolomoisky since 2012, officially paid out to his Kvartal-95 company, but routed via a number of offshore companies.
April 2021: President Zelensky refuses to sit down and talk directly to the breakaway states in the Donbas region.
He’s quoted as saying: “I don’t talk to terrorists.”
This puts the final nail in the coffin of diplomatic efforts to resolve the dispute in the Donbas / Crimea regions.
June 2021: Vladimir Putin’s main aide for Ukrainian policy between 2013-2020 suggests Ukraine should become a confederation.
He said: “[The Ukraine] can be reformed as a confederation, with a lot of freedom for the regions to decide things by themselves”
December 2021: Russia publically accuses Kiev of breaking the Minsk II ceasefire agreements.
Snippet from HERE:
In December 2021, Chief of General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov said that:
“Kyiv is not fulfilling the Minsk Agreements. The Ukrainian armed forces are touting that they have started to employ US-supplied Javelin anti-tank missile systems in Donbas and are also using Turkish reconnaissance/strike drones. As a result, the already tense situation in the east of that country is further deteriorating.”
February 15, 2022: Putin and Russia formally recognise the LPR and DPR as independent countries.
Snippet from HERE:
“Following that decision, on 22 February 2022, President Putin said that the Minsk agreements “no longer existed”, and that Ukraine, not Russia, was to blame for their collapse, accusing Ukraine of genocide in Donbas in his comments.”
February 24, 2022: Russia invades Ukraine.
There are so many more things I could add into this timeline – especially around all the oligarchs, the World Economic Forum, Biden’s corruption – together with a whole bunch of people in US politics, and elsewhere, Burisma, US-funded Ukrainian biolabs releasing dangerous pathogens into Ukraine itself, etc etc.
But I decided to keep the main story super-simple, in this post.
Going forward, I’m sure we’ll be able to slot more of the pieces of the puzzle into place, now we have a much clearer outline of what actually happened to get us to this stage.
Context is everything.
BH, Hashem will continue to protect all the innocent people caught up in this war of propaganda and lies, apart from whatever actual violence is occurring on the ground.
And also, I’m really praying that God will help more and more of us to realise who our real enemies actually are.
So we can finally get rid of them, for good.
PS: I just came across this film, which also sets out a lot more of the true story, behind the US and European sponsored corruption going on in Ukraine.
There’s a reasonable chance it’s telling the truth, because it’s being banned across most social media channels:
#YouTube #BigTech deleted #UkraineOnFire film from our production official channel, I’m asking everyone who like our film to download it from our Vimeo here and post it everywhere. As a copyright holder we giving to you – The People that rightshttps://t.co/k5fDPb5VPO pic.twitter.com/cMv2lrRV9A
